I am a studio potter from Pembroke, Mass, with a husband and three wonderful boys. My interests have always been my family, gardening, art, animals and of course clay, which has captured my imagination for many years.

My first formal experience with clay began when I was 11 years old. I took pottery lessons from Ralph & Sandra Terry of Norwell, where I grew up. I was hooked from the start. I pursued my passion in high school, and went on to Bridgewater State College where i majored in Art.

Soon I was a married mother of two active boys, with a big garden and lots of creative 'busy-ness', but no clear direction in pottery. I was finally drawn back to a pottery studio where I picked up right where I had left off. When my third son, Paul, was born I opened Tumbleweed Cottage Pottery in Pembroke. It was close to home and enough space to keep both my infant and my interest in clay active. I moved into my new studio in Norwell as my need for space grew. I now have a fantastic shop-mate, Jane Walsh, who does unbelievable stained glass art, windows and hangings.

Having grown up in Norwell, returning most definitely feels like a coming-home.
